Dog Training Essentials Class:

• Requirements: Dog 12 weeks or older; proof of vaccination*

During this 7 week indoor group class, you will benefit from a certified professional trainer helping you and your dog learn to navigate the big and sometimes scary world. Socialization and Desensitization are crucial factors for a young puppy to build confidence! We will work on these and on important basic foundations to start you off on the path to success. For older dogs, we provide a safe space to practice essentials skills that may become difficult around high value distractions. We’ll help your dog learn to focus on you around other dogs, people, kids and more! This program includes:

• Impulse control

• Emergency commands

• Polite greetings with strangers

• Not jumping up

• Recall basics

• Loose leash basics

• Heel work basics

• And much more!

Rockin’ Recall Class:

Price: $250 (See Package deals)

• Duration: 1hr per week for 6 weeks

• Location: 1002 Bellevue Rd, Parksville, Dogstar Playcare Facility

• Requirements: Completion of Dog Training Essentials Class; proof of vaccination*

Our Rockin’ Recall class is a high energy recall bonanza! Participate in fun, unpredictable games that will excite your dog and get them wanting to run back to you as fast as they can. Regardless of your dog’s age, they all can benefit from having their recall skill put to the test. A solid foundation is required in order to push your recall to the next level, thus we require you to first complete our Dog Training Essentials class before enrolling in Rockin’ Recall. With results based, positive reinforcement, you’ll start seeing progress very quickly!

Outdoor Adventure Class:

Price: $250 (See Package deals)

• Duration: 1hr per week for 6 weeks

• Location: Various Parks and Trails around Nanaimo and Parksville

• Requirements: Completion of Dog Training Essentials Class; proof of vaccination*

Adventure is out there! Join us in the nice weather and put your dog’s skills to the test in the real world. Everything you’ve learned from Dog Training Essentials will be pushed to the limit as your dog learns to focus on you in some of the most stimulating environments. This outdoor class will challenge your dog’s leash skills, stays, recalls and more!

For each of these classes, you will receive detailed notes and homework based on what we’ve learned that week via e-mail.

Training is an ongoing process, but by the end of your class, you will have all the tools you need to create a successful training routine and happy relationship with your dog.

*Reactive dogs or dogs with a bite history may be required to wear a muzzle.
